Fall Hike: Brooklyn's "Oxbow" (the Kingdom)

Explore this hidden green treasure – Brooklyn's "Oxbow." We'll be joined by Cleveland Museum of Natural History naturalist Garrett Ormiston to learn about native trees within this forested area and the wetland habitat with the abondoned streambed of Big Creek

PLUS learn about trail & greenway plans that seek to conserve, enhance & connect the Oxbow area with a larger Big Creek greenway/trail system

Park behind the Brooklyn Fire Station & meet in its Community Room, 8400 Memphis Ave., 44144, 10 am. Dress for the weather & muddy trail.

Join Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District to talk about the importance of native plants and how they benefit pollinators, control stormwater, improve curb appeal, and provide food and habitat for birds, insects and wildlife. Help install the native plant garden!
